Dear friends and supporters of folk dances,

We warmly invite you into the heart of Europe, into the Czech Republic. We have prepared a tourist program for you in Prague,
other parts of Bohemia. During your travels you will have
a chance to meet Czech folk dancers, see interesting places, visit historical towns, meet people who are engaged in traditional folk traditions, and explore different aspects of Czech folklore.

Your tour will begin in Prague with the Jasan Bonuš Festival, an international dance weekend. The Festival, now in it’s 16th year, brings together Czech, American, Danish, English, Scottish, Slovak and other people who all share a common interest
in traditional ethnic folk dancing.

This year Dvorana is running the tour in cooperation with the Folk Arts Center of New England (FAC) , a non-profit arts organization based in the United States. FAC’s Executive Director, Marcie Van Cleave, visited Czech Republic last year and together we have developed a program which will appeal to folk dancers. We are happy to work with the Folk Arts Center and believe you will enjoy the tour.
