September 16, Friday
Because we want to be able to attend a harvest festival in Moravia on Saturday, we need to have you in Prague on Friday.

You will arrive in Prague sometime during the day. After you arrive at the hotel, you will check-in and relax.
We will meet in the hotel lobby at 6:00 pm and walk to a nearby restaurant for dinner.
September 17, Saturday

We have a long drive ahead through beautiful countryside, traveling to South Moravia where we will stay two nights.
After our arrival and check-in we will have lunch together. In the afternoon we attend the local festival that features live music and dance; the locals will be in traditional costumes.
Be ready for a lot of wine! Because one of the features of the festival is a traditional feast, you will enjoy dinner on your own.
The festival is just few minutes’ drive from the chateau.

First we will walk just a few steps to meet with local cooper, who produces most of the barrels for local wine makers.
Then we will go to Lednice near the Austrian and Slovakian borders, to see the beautiful chateau with its gardens.
This whole area is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch together we will walk about one mile through the gardens to the Dyje River.
It is an easy and scenic walk and will be followed by a romantic boat ride that will take us to the site of the artificial medieval ruin Janův hrad,
built in 1807. We will then travel by bus to Mikulov, a town with many lovely and interesting sites. After a walk through town you will be on your own
for dinner and we will return to Čejkovice.
September 19, Monday

Today we will travel west, to South Bohemia. Our first stop will be in a small village where we will meet a local potter.
For lunch we will stop in Třebíč, the third-largest town in Moravia and one that is well-known for its UNESCO-designated Jewish landmarks.
And we will enjoy one more UNESCO spot today - in the afternoon we will visit the beautiful town of Telč, with its fairytale town square.
Then we will arrive in České Budějovice, check-in for our two night stay, and have dinner together.
For those who would like to, we will have an late evening walk through the city center.
September 20, Tuesday

Our first stop today will be in small family museum where the owner renovates old puppets.
Then we will go the small village of Kojakovice to visit the local museum; it describes the Czech emigration to the US during the second half of 19. century.
For lunch we will stop in the very nice town of Třeboň. After lunch we will visit Schwarzenberk family burial chamber.
For those who would like to, we will walk among the complex of fishponds in the Trebon Basin, within the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Dinner will be in small village restaurant followed by a meeting with local folk dance group. Then we will return to České Budějovice.
September 21, Wednesday
09:30 brewery tour

What an interesting day it will be when our first program stop is the brewery tour! We will visit the Budweiser brewery - the original one.
For lunch we will stay in České Budějovice and afterwards travel on to Kleť mountain - a dominant feature of the area.
We will take a lift up to the top and then walk downhill for about 3 miles. Our next stop will be Český Krumlov. We do believe you will love this town with its
many narrow streets, grand chateau, extensive gardens, and unusual outdoor theatre. There is much to enjoy in this town, and we will have plenty of time to do so.
After dinner we will come back to České Budějovice.
September 22, Thursday
09:45 stop in Zvěrkovice - meeting with local woodcarver

Today morning we will start moving north toward Prague. En route we will meet with a local woodcarver in Zvěrkovice who produces traditional wooden toys.
After a brief stop in Albechtice where we will visit a unique cemetery, we will stop in Písek. Here we will cross the oldest stone bridge in central Europe.
The bridge is confirmed here since the end of 13th century and is part of UNESCO heritage today.
Our next stop after lunch will be a lovely open air museum and then we will travel to Květuš, where we will spend time at a charming home on a property that used to be a working farm.
There we will learn simple folk dances, sing folk songs and make traditional Czech cookies. After dinner at the farm, we will go to Prague and check-in at the hotel.
September 23, Friday

Today you will spend the day enjoying the beautiful city of Prague with an expert city tour guide.
You will visit Prague Castle and from there walk down into the city. Lunch will be together in a charming restaurant and you will finish the guided afternoon at the Old Town Square.
Then you will be on your own for dinner and the rest of the evening.
September 24, Saturday

If you would like to have more free time in Prague, this will be your chance. If you prefer to stay with the group you can
come with us to the Vyšehrad district – a famous area mentioned in many Prague legends. For lunch and the afternoon you will be on your own and then we will
meet again for a sunset dinner cruise on the Vltava River. This will give you a special opportunity to see Prague from different perspective.
September 25, Sunday
