The band OSF – One Step Forward was created with the sole purpose of supporting the dancers at the Jasan Bonuš Country Dance Festival in 2024. There are many excellent bluegrass bands in the Czech Republic, whose members are masters of their instruments. However, we lacked a band versatile enough to play not only American Old Time music but also tunes for New England dances, including some jigs. According to Czech tradition, if you can’t find something, you make it yourself, so we came together, and the band was born.

We have no ambitions to perform listening concerts; we are a band for dancers, and we strive to help them dance well and have fun. Our repertoire includes tunes of different rhythms and tempos, allowing every caller to find something suitable.
