Dear friends, some of you are interested in a costume rental for our evening balls (Swing and 19. Century). We have made contact already with Prague movie studios which offer a large collection of historical costumes. Those of you who don’t have your costumes can rent costumes here.
First, you’re probably interested in the price. The cost will vary depending on how elaborate the costume is. You’ll need a 19th-century costume for the closing ball on Friday evening. Since you can pick up the costume on Thursday and return it the following Monday, you’ll be renting it for four days. The price for this rental is around $170 – $200 per costume.
If you’re interested, you can rent a costume for the swing ball as well. There is an option for this when you will fill up the PDF form bellow.
The price includes dress rehearsal with the dressmaker, costume pick up and return, the cleaning service, and all taxes. To make it all easy and simple, we agree to pay the deposit instead of you (about $200 per costume), because the deposit can be refunded on Monday, when you’ll be home already.
If you are interested in costume rental, please look at the website to get some idea of what they offer. The website should show up in English. If you need to, you can switch the language in the top-right corner. Please note, that they show just a few pictures from a very large collection. So when you will come personally, you will pick a costume which you like.
And how to manage it? Here is the short script:
Save to your device (computer) the PDF FILE (right click, save as, or open and save)
Open the pdf file.
Write in all the needed information. You can use centimeters or inches, doesn’t matter. We finally need centimeters. If you want to recalculate it by yourself, you can use this calc. Please, be very careful about measuring. Correct measurements will speed up the whole process.
Save all changes to the document.

We will collect all the forms and will forward them to the costume rental.
Following your requests and measurements, they will search for costumes that may fit you.
For the costume rental, you will pay in Prague to us, to Dvorana, and we will pay for everybody by a bank transfer to the rental, including the deposit.
The most important part is meeting with the dressmaker. During the week, you’ll need to visit the costume rental at the Prague movie studios in person. We will arrange transportation for you. Please understand that due to the studio’s working hours, you will have to miss some of the dance classes.
You will try several costumes and will decide which one you like. If will be needed, the dressmaker will make some changes for you.
We will be arriving by car again to pick up all the costumes and bring them directly to the dance hall. After the afternoon class, you can pick up your costume and take it to your hotel.
You will keep the costume until Saturday morning. We will pick them up and will return them on Monday morning.
You can also request to rent shoes with your costume this time.
However, we recommend bringing your own if possible, so you feel more comfortable.
The deadline for costume rental orders is June 19th, 2026.
