Dear Friends,
Dvorana is a dance and tour company based in Prague, Czech Republic. We are inviting you to join us on this tour, created specially for dancers. We will travel across Poland, learn traditional dances and meet with local dancers.
The tour includes some of the UNESCO heritage locations but also small hidden villages. We can promise tasty food and comfortable accommodation. We are looking forward to dance and travel with you.
Jan Pumpr
We will participate in 10 dance workshops with some of the very best dance ensembles in Poland!
August 10, Monday
Today, our Poland tour begins just as our Czech Republic journey comes to a close. To celebrate, we’ve arranged for both groups to meet for a joint dinner. Because the flight into Krakow arrives in the evening, we’ll be dining right at the airport at the Hotel Hilton, where our departing guests are spending the night. It will be a wonderful chance to share stories from the road. Since it’s a long day of travel for the newcomers, we’ll keep the evening relaxed rather than having a big party. After dinner, a bus will take the new group to our hotel in Krakow for a well-deserved rest.
August 11, Tuesday
After the long journey, you will have the chance to rest, and we will start the morning program a bit later. Together, we will head to the historic city center to meet our local guide. The tour will last a total of 3 hours and will be packed with fascinating information. We will break for lunch on our own, with some free time afterward to enjoy the city. In the afternoon, we will return to the hotel for a short break before our first dance workshop. The instructor will be from the Krakus dance ensemble, which has been performing since 1949, making it the oldest folklore group in Poland. The dance lesson will last two hours. The great news is that the dance hall is located directly in the hotel, so it will be very easy to shower after the lesson and join us for dinner, which will also be served at the hotel.
August 12, Wednesday
Our first trip today will lead us back to the center of Krakow. This time, however, we will take a walking tour through part of the historic Jewish Quarter, where we will learn the fascinating stories of the local residents during World War II. Following the tour, we will visit the local Ethnographic Museum together—it is a beautiful site that will give us a closer look at Polish traditions. This time, we will have lunch together at a local restaurant. After some free time, we will return to the hotel for another dance lesson. Following the session, there will be time to change before we head back into the city center for a free evening to enjoy dinner and a stroll through nighttime Krakow. It is especially pleasant during the summer months. Later in the evening, we will return to the hotel.
August 13, Thursday
Today, for the first time, we must pack our suitcases and set off on our journey. Our destination is the small village of Koszęcin, home to the world-renowned professional dance ensemble, Śląsk. We will have the opportunity to tour their beautiful complex with a local guide before starting our next dance workshop. We will enjoy lunch together at a local restaurant, and after a short rest, we will continue with the dance lessons. Once the session is over, we will move to a nearby town to check into a lovely hotel. For those who wish to unwind, the hotel’s wellness and spa center will be available to you free of charge. You will then have free time to enjoy dinner and explore the town center at your own pace.
August 14, Friday
We will spend only one night in Koszęcin before moving on. Our next destination is Poznań, but along the way, we will stop at perhaps the most visited site in all of Poland: Jasna Góra in Częstochowa. This is a world-famous pilgrimage site with a 1,000-year history. We will take a short walk through the local park, which is very pleasant in the summer, and visit the renowned Basilica, which is deeply tied to the origins of Christianity in Poland.
The area offers many dining options, so we will have free time for lunch and meet back up afterward. From there, we will continue to Poznań, where we will check into a lovely hotel right in the city center. The highlight of our visit to Poznań is the local folklore festival. While the specific program for 2026 has not yet been released, we expect to attend one of the festival events as early as Friday evening. We will then enjoy dinner together.
August 15, Saturday
Yesterday was a long day of travel, but in exchange, we won’t be traveling at all today; we are staying right here in the city of Poznań. Our hotel is within easy walking distance of the Old Town Square, giving you the flexibility to manage your own time. After a morning stroll through the city, we will visit the fascinating Museum of Musical Instruments. We will enjoy lunch together as a group. The afternoon will be yours to spend at your leisure, and in the evening, we plan to meet with a local dance group. Dinner will be on your own tonight, allowing you to explore Poznań’s diverse culinary scene. The schedule will be updated once the festival program is released.
August 16, Sunday
As there are no festival programs scheduled for Sunday morning, we will take our bus to the neighboring town of Wronki. There, we will participate in another dance workshop alongside local dancers. We will enjoy lunch together with the group, and afterward, we will stop at Górka Castle (Zamek Górków). This historic 15th-century site features beautiful interiors and a fascinating exhibition of traditional folk costumes. Later in the afternoon, we will return to Poznań for a short rest. You will have the evening to manage dinner on your own before we gather to attend the main festival performance, the highlight of our stay.
August 17, Monday
After the festival, we will depart for Gniezno, a city of immense historical significance. Along the way, we will enjoy a wonderful stop at an open-air museum featuring beautifully preserved interiors, as well as the Museum of the First Piasts at Lednica. The entire complex is situated in a lovely green area by a lake, offering a peaceful atmosphere. Following this visit, you will have time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before we finally arrive in Gniezno. After checking into the hotel, you may join us for a walk to the city center or choose to relax at the hotel. Later in the afternoon, we will gather for a dance workshop with a local folklore group. Dinner will be together with the group.
August 18, Tuesday
In the morning, we will leave the hotel and set off for Warsaw, the capital of Poland. This will be little bit longer drive. We will stop on the way for short breaks and also will have lunch all together.
In the afternoon, we will check into our hotel in Warsaw, have short time to relax and then will go out again to dance! We will have a dance workshop, this time with the instructor from Warszawianka dance group. Everyone will arrange their own dinner.
August 19, Wednesday

August 20, Thursday
Today, we will briefly leave Warsaw and travel to the nearby village of Otrębusy, which has an extensive cultural center focused on traditional folk culture. Today, Mazowsze is one of the biggest folk-inspired artistic ensembles in the world. Here, we will have another dance workshop, as well as a tour of the local museum’s ethnographic exhibition. We will have lunch together. In the afternoon, we will return to Warsaw and have free time. Everyone will arrange their own dinner.
August 21, Friday
Today, we will take a small step back to visit the city of Płock for two days to experience another wonderful folklore festival. On our way, we will stop at Żelazowa Wola, where we will tour the birthplace of the world-renowned composer and pianist, Frédéric Chopin. The house is set in the middle of a stunning park, making it a very pleasant and peaceful stop. We will enjoy lunch together before continuing our journey to Płock. After checking into the hotel, you will have some free time to relax before we head into the city center together. There, we will attend the Friday evening festival program. Dinner will be on your own tonight, allowing you to sample the local offerings at the festival or in the town center.
August 22, Saturday
Since we didn’t have a dance session yesterday, it is high time we get back to the floor! After breakfast, we will meet with a local dance ensemble for our next workshop. We will enjoy lunch together as a group. The afternoon is reserved for relaxation. As we approach the end of our journey, a bit of quiet time will be a welcome opportunity to recharge. In the evening, we will all gather to attend the festival’s Main Gala. This is a spectacular event where we will see a diverse range of dance ensembles from all over the world.
August 23, Sunday
Because we are leaving Plock today, we need to check-out. Is Sunday and many Polish people attend a mass this morning. But if that will be possible, we are working on to have one more and last dance workshop today morning. Later on, just after noon the festival parade starts and walk through the city. That will be fun to watch. In the afternoon we will return to Warsaw. We’ll be back in the same hotel as we left on Friday. But the hotel is very nice and this will be pleasant return. After short relax time we will have our farewell dinner in nice local restaurant.
August 24, Monday
It is time to say goodbye. Since your flight departs in the evening, you still have almost a full day to enjoy the city at your own pace.
