This special tour attends the 80th anniversary Celebrations of the Liberation of Western Czechoslovakia, by General Patton and the US 16th Armored Division, the 2nd and 97th Infantry Divisions in early May, 1945. This will be a once in a lifetime event, not to be missed!
In addition to the unique festival in Pilsen, we will visit exceptional historical monuments, meet local people, and see traditional music and dance and visit Prague. We are organizing this trip for czechheritage.com. Click for details and registration.
During your travels, you will have the opportunity to see interesting places listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites, visit historical towns, meet people engaged in traditional folk production, and take several short hikes in beautiful surroundings. You will also meet Czech folk dancers and musicians. Finally, you will have two full days in Prague, the City of a Hundred Spires. This tour is organized in cooperation with the Folk Art Center of New England.
